Warren (John Collins) House is built.
1804
Architect: Charles Bulfinch. It is located at 2 Park Street (then Park Place). The first house lit by gas in Boston and one of the first to have two bathrooms, it is first occupied initially by Collins and his wife, the daughter of Jonathan Mason. The house remains in the Warren family until it is demolished in the spring of 1877. It is replaced on the site by a new building in 1918.*
